Black Hawks were used during the U.S. landings in Grenada in October 1983, and the military ouster of Gen. Manuel Noriega in Panama in December 1989. A total of 25 UH-60s were damaged during the operation in Panama. All but one, which suffered a hard landing, were back in service within a day.
