Kfir attack aircraft

The Kfir (Hebrew for lion cub) is an Israeli-made derivative of the French Mirage III/Mirage V fighter/attack aircraft (see separate database entry). The Kfir was developed in part to overcome a French embargo of Mirage aircraft and in part to improve the basic performance of the design. The design of the aircraft is reportedly based on around 250,000 pages of technical documents stolen from a subcontractor after the embargo was put in place.
