The Magister was the first light turbojet trainer to enter into production, and is still in use. It has also been used as a light attack aircraft, particularly by the Israeli air force.
The wing is mounted at mid-fuselage and relatively far aft. It has a tapered leading edge, little or no dihedral and a decreasing thickness-to-chord ratio toward the tip. Each wing tip has a small, permanently fixed, tear-drop shaped fuel tank.
