IRGC Moves Troops To Borders With Armenia, Azerbaijan Amid Nagorno-Karabakh Fighting

Iran has moved Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) units to its northwestern region, near the borders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, in response to heavy fighting in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region, reports the Tehran Times.

More than 30 T-72M1 tanks and BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles have been deployed to the northwestern Azerbaijan province, according to analysts cited by Defence Blog.

Tor M1 and Khordad surface-to-air missile systems have also been observed in the area.
