The Israeli 155-mm L-33 self-propelled howitzer, also known as the Ro'em, consisted of an M68 gun/howitzer, taken from the Soltam towed howitzer, and a high, all-welded steel superstructure mounted on a U.S. M4A3E8 Sherman tank chassis (see separate database entry for the M4).
