The QF-16, also known as the Zombie Viper, is a full-scale aerial target in service with the U.S. Air Force for combat training and testing. It replaced the aging QF-4 drone.
Retired F-16 Block 15, 25 and 30 fighters are converted into QF-16 aerial targets for testing new weapons and tactics. It provides a higher capability and better represents modern targets and threats compared to the QF-4, according to Boeing.
