The Oblique Flying Wing (OFW) program (also referred to as the Switchblade program, which should not be confused with the earlier X-29 program) was funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The agency's goal was to develop a technology demonstrator aircraft. The OFW program created a design, analysis and methodology of control to study the feasibility of a supersonic, tailless, oblique flying wing aircraft.
