The Pelican ultra-large transport aircraft (ULTRA) is a concept that has been under study by Boeing's Phantom Works to meet the Pentagon's need for new mobility options. If the project were to be given the go-ahead, the Pelican ULTRA would be the biggest aircraft ever built: It would be longer than a football field and have a 500-ft wingspan.
