The F-1 was a Japanese-designed attack aircraft derived from the earlier T-2 trainer, which in turn strongly resembled the SEPECAT Jaguar; the three aircraft used different models of the same engine. The T-2/F-1 had a lower aspect ratio wing, broader-chord fin and rudder, and different intakes from the Jaguar.
