Aircraft Programs

The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) released a White Paper on February 20, 2020, outlining medium- and long-term procurement plans. These include the procurement of new combat aircraft, transport aircraft, and VIP and VVIP aircraft, as well as new helicopters and UAVs.
 
In the fighter category, the RTAF seeks to replace its F-5 Tigers IIs, F-16s (from 2028 to 2033), and Aero Vodochody L-39 Albatross trainer/light attack aircraft (from 2021 to 2024).
