Slocum Glider

The Slocum glider is an autonomous undersea vehicle that moves up and down in the ocean by changing its buoyancy. It is named after Joshua Slocum, the first man to single-handedly sail around the world. Forward propulsion is created by varying vehicle buoyancy.
