The Mk 30 Mod 2 ATS is an anti-submarine warfare (ASW) training target system. The torpedo-like underwater vehicle has been used by fleet operating units (ships, submarines and aircraft) for ASW training considered realistic, reliable, available and economical. Developed to replace the Mk 30 Mod 1, the Mod 2 was ordered in 2005. Further orders were cancelled in fiscal 2007. A total of 11 Mk 30 Mod 2s were procured, replacing 11 of 44 Mod 1s in Navy service.
