0 RIVERINE PATROL BOATS (PBR) (U.S. Mark 2 type)
description
These heavily armed craft were developed for riverine warfare in Vietnam. Those remaining in U.S. service were operated by the Naval Reserve Force. More than 500 PBRs were built in 1965-1973, with most transferred to South Vietnam after being used by the U.S. Navy. The surviving units were built in the early 1980s.

All surviving units were active in the Naval Reserve Force (NRF) with Special Boat Unit-22.
