The FM 400 (frigates modular 400) is a family of frigates developed by French shipbuilder DCNS for the export market. The modular vessels are capable of littoral and blue-water missions and utilize technology from the FREMM multi-role frigate program (French AQUITAINE class). It can operate alone or as part of a larger task force and is capable of handling unmanned vehicles of all types.
