description

The Soviet Union donated three ZHUK-class patrol boats to Cape Verde in 1980 to support its maritime development after independence. The design was widely exported to Soviet client states and partners, particularly in Africa.

All three Cape Verde boats were from the 1400ME batch.

ENGINEERING: Twin two-shaft diesel-direct M-401B engines powered the boats.
