The FREEDOM-class Response Boat-Small II (RB-S II) was developed to replace the U.S. Coast Guard's DEFENDER-class boats. The class is based on Metal Shark's 29 Defiant design. The boats are capable of search-and-rescue, law enforcement, environmental protection, drug and migrant interdiction and coastal and waterway security missions.
