HULL:Based on the U.S. LCVP design, but built in France. The earlier
units have wooden hulls; the remainder, glass-reinforced plastic (GRP)
hulls. They can carry light vehicles or 3.5 tons of cargo or 36 troops,
which are unloaded over a bow ramp. There are no deckhouse on the craft.
The we ll deck measures 17 ft 2 in (5.2 m) x 7 ft 5 in (2.3 m).
