The Joint Multi-Mission Expeditionary Craft (JMEC) is an experimental landing craft under development by Northrop Grumman and Aluminum Chambered Boats. The prototype was constructed in mid-2006 in response to a Navy request for information about new small, coastal craft for military and homeland security missions.
