The Type 2024 is a passive, towed linear-array sonar developed to provide attack submarines with a long-range search capability. The Type 2024 has a "clip-on" design and is based on the U.S. AN/BQR-15 sonar, but uses a British signal processor. Comprised of the Type 2030 (US BQR-22) and Type 2035 (U.S. BQR-23 16-channel processor).
