Type 2020

This is a hull-mounted attack sonar for hunter-killer submarines. The conformal array is bow-mounted and scans 360 degrees. The sonar primarily uses passive detection techniques, but also has the capability to use the active mode. The Type 2020 has expansion capabilities built directly into the sys tem to allow interfacing with future systems. The Type 2020 can operate under either computer guidance or manual control.
