Type 184

The Type 184 is an anti-submarine search and attack sonar for use on surface ships. The system can operate in passive or active search modes.

The sonar includes a transducer, transmitter, receivers and display systems and is mounted in a radome that can accommodate the Type 117 sonar as an alternative.
