The TSM 2643 is a deck-mounted variant within the TSM 2640 family of sonars.
The TSM 2643 incorporates improved automatic detection techniques such as natural frequency and frequency modulation for better detection of both fast- and slow-moving targets.
This variant also can direct beams on specific azimuth bearings. It uses a 24-stave cylindrical array operating at two frequencies around 19 kHz and produces 36 preformed beams.
