The TSM 2022 is a retractable, hull-mounted sonar for use in minehunting, mine avoidance and seabed mapping. The TSM 2022 is based on the DUBM 21 minehunting sonar, also known as the TSM 2021, with better digital processing.
The single transducer array requires only one on-ship console operator. The array is stabilized in pitch and roll and can be raised by a winch; it has three positions for working, transit and maintenance.
