The DUUX 2 is a largely outdated, passive acoustic rangefinder for submarines.
status
Initial operational capability (IOC) was reached in 1964. The DUUX 2 is no longer in production, being replaced by the DUUX 5 sonar.
There were 120 systems supplied to 22 navies for eight classes of subs. The overall total in service as of this update is not available. The numbers of reported systems continue to dwindle.
