DUUA 2

The DUUA 2 is an active search-and-attack sonar for attack submarines. The search-and-attack functions are performed simultaneously.

The system can also be used for passive detection, as a sonar interceptor that locates the source of sonar waves and as a depth sounding and ultrasonic deep-water communication system.

The transmitter has a normal power of 20 kW, with 1 kW in reduced operation. The transmitting frequency is 8.4 kHz with varying pulse lengths -- 30, 300 and 500...
