DE 1167

The DE 1167 family of active/passive sonars is based on the DE 1160/SQS-56 sonars, but is smaller and less expensive. It employs advanced microprocessor architecture and state-of-the-art display and transmitter technology.

The sonar can be fitted in a hull-mounted dome, as a variable depth sonar (V DS), or as an integrated hull dome and VDS. The VD4S transmits at 12 kHz and the 36-stave circular, hull-mounted array can transmit at either 12 or 7.5 kHz.
