The CSU 3 is an active/passive, search and attack sonar for conventionally propelled submarines.
The cylindrical transducer array is equipped with electronic beam steering. The sonar can automatically suppress interference caused by acoustic countermeasures.
In the active, medium-range mode, the CSU 3 uses a single beam and the target data are transferred digitally to the fire control system. A 20-degree sector is displayed at one time with continuous memory-refreshed target...
