AN/SQS-30

The AN/SQS-30 was a modification of the AN/SQS-4 Mod 2 active/passive search and attack sonar (see separate database entry). The set, intended for surface anti-submarine ships, was upgraded with Rotating Directional Transmission (RDT) that used the transducer to emit a series of intense beams to increase the sonar's range.
