AN/SQS-11

The AN/SQS-11 was an obsolete, hull-mounted, search and attack sonar designed for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) destroyers and escorts. This sonar was similar to the AN/SQS-10 (see separate database entry) except that the SQS-11 operateed at a higher frequency (25.5 KHz vs 20 KHz).

Initial operational capability approx 1951. No longer in production or in service.
