AN/SQQ-90 tactical sonar suite

The AN/SQQ-90 is the tactical sonar suite for the U.S. Navy's ZUMWALT -class destroyers. The dual-frequency system includes the hull-mounted AN/SQS-60 mid-frequency sonar and AN/SQS-61 high-frequency sonar, as well as the AN/SQR-20 multi-function towed array sonar and handling system. The latter enables the ship to conduct in-stride mine avoidance and is based on that used by the VIRGINIA-class submarines.
