The AN/SQQ-14IT is an improved, Italian-made version of the U.S. AN/SQQ-14, also known as the AN/SQQ-30, variable-depth minehunting sonar that uses completely new electronics. The Italian sonar is known commercially as the P2072.

The SQQ-14IT dual-frequency sonar can be operated as either a hull-mounted or variable-depth sonar. It can be operated in both search and classification modes.
