The Anaconda tactical towed-array sonar (TACTAS) consists of the digital DSBV 61 towed array as the "wet end" (see separate database entry) combined with the powerful Mangouste Mk 2 signal processor.

The processor increases the capabilities of the sonar in the areas of automatic tracking and detection, narrow-band analysis, adaptive beam-forming and self-noise cancellation.

status

Initial operational capability (IOC) was attained in 1990. Eight systems were delivered.
