The Propelled Variable Depth Minehunting Sonar (PVDS) is a combination of the Double Eagle Mk II remotely operated vehicle (ROV) from Bofors Underwater Systems and the TSM 2022 Mk III acoustic array.

Ideally, the ROV would be located ahead of the mother vessel during operation to investigate mine threats while the vessel stays at a safe distance.
