Sampson is a multi-function radar designed for the British DARING-class destroyers. It provides surveillance and dedicated tracking capabilities in a single system. The radar evolved from the Multi-function Electronically Scanned Adaptive Radar (MESAR) program.

The radar is compatible with active and semi-active homing missile systems and provides mid-course guidance. In cases where rapid reaction is needed, the system supports fully automatic operations.
