The British GWS 22 (Guided Weapon System) fire-control system was based on the U.S. Mk 56 GFCS. The Type 904 radar was derived from the U.S. Mk 35.
GWS 22 systems with the Type 904 radar provided the fire-control systems for the Seacat short-range shipboard surface-to-air missile systems. The GWS 22 was the Sea Cat system associated with the full MRS 3 fire control director.
