The British AWS-4 surveillance and target indication radar is one of a series of Plessey Naval Systems developed for overseas sales. It is an E-F band radar with a truncated parabolic antenna.
The antenna may be unstabilized or can have a two-axis stabilization system fitted. It can be rotated at two speeds; emit beams of two pulse lengths; and operate at two pulse repetition frequencies (PRFs).
