The AN/SPS-6 is an air and surface search radar that was widely used in the naval ships of the U.S. and other nations in the 1950s and 1960s.

The parabolic horn-fed antenna emits 500-kW pulses of 4 microsecond duration with pulse repetition frequency (PRF) of 150 pulses per second (pps) in long-range mode, of 1 -microsecond duration with PRF of 600 pps in short-range mode.
