The AN/SPS-29 is a U.S. long-range air-search naval radar. The antenna on early models was 18 x 11 ft (5.5 x 3.4 m), the so-called "bedspring" form, with 28 (7 x 4) radiating elements. The AN/SPS-29D version has a corner reflector much like the AN/SPS-37A/43A antenna. The radar emits 750-kW pulses of 10-microsecond duration with pulse repetition frequency of 300 pulses per second; the beam is 20 degrees x 25.5 degrees. Upper range limit is approximately 270 nm (500 km).
