The Litton Sperry search and navigation radar is fitted on or intended for later U.S. Trident (OHIO-class ) and SEAWOLF submarines and new attack subs.

It features touch-screen radar controls, embedded trainer scenarios, on- and off-line fault monitoring and a hydraulic raise and rotate mechanism for the antenna.

The AN/BPS-16 can also be fitted on major surface combatants, and a commercial off-the-shelf version is available for other combatant classes.
