This is a low-power, surface search and navigation radar found on U.S. nuclear-propelled submarines. The antenna is a horn array with a 40-in (1,016-mm) aperture.

status

The radar is in service, though is no longer in production.

Initial operational capability (IOC) was achieved in the early 1960s. It is being replaced by the AN/BPS-16.
