The S613 was a ground-based, height-finding radar. The mobile system consisted of a transmitter, receiver, antenna and processor.
The orange-peel parabolic reflector antenna operated in three scan modes: normal, sector and volumetric. The digitally controlled antenna rotated for a 360-degree scan azimuth and nodded for scanning at different elevations.
The system processor provided automatic height extraction from receiver signals.
