Pilar is an acoustic detection system capable of determining the origin of small-caliber gunshots. The system uses advanced signal-processing techniques to automatically display and record a gunshot and identify its origin in three dimensions and in real time. It can operate in all conditions, says its manufacturer, and is not hampered by environments with significant background noise.
