AN/TPS-34
Country of Origin: USA
description
The AN/TPS-34 is a tactical air defense early-warning radar, providing three-dimensional data on high speed aircraft and missile targets to an air defense network. Unlike most other 3-D radars, the TPS-34 uses the V-beam technique, in which the difference in bearing generated by two antennas mounte d at an angle to each other yields the altitude of the target. The system can be transported by helicopter and be operational within eight hours of movement
