The AN/MPS-11 is a derivative of the AN/FPS-8 medium-power search radar (see separate database entry). Unlike the FPS-8, the MPS-11 is a mobile system that can be set up by its 15-man crew in about two hours. It can be transported by aircraft or in nine M35 trucks and two trailers.
