UAF-1

The UAF-1 passive intercept system was developed specifically for the British DUKE-class. The UAF-1 is a considerably modified development of the Cutlass passive intercept (see separate database entry), also manufactured by Racal.

The UAF-1 uses an eight-port antenna array atop the foremast to increase sensitivity and direction-finding accuracy over the Cutlass system. It was the first Royal Navy equipment to use color displays as standard.
