The Barem is a defensive jammer intended to disrupt radar guidance of air-to-air missiles. It can detect, identify and jam pulsed, continuous wave (CW) and pulse-Doppler radars operating in the H through J bands (6-20 GHz).
Barem is mounted on a wing pylon in a pod that is about the size of a Magic or Sidewinder air-to-air missile (AAM). It can be flown at Mach 2 and can tolerate 9-g maneuvers.
