The Scudo ("shield") active protection system is built to defeat anti-tank rockets and missiles.
It is a multi-layer system. The outer layer consists of a 70-mm interceptor rocket fired by two steerable rocket launchers, with two or four cells each. The interceptor destroys incoming threats by projecting thousands of tungsten fragments into the projectile's path.
