The Rapid Obscuring System (ROSY) is a smoke system designed to protect light military and civilian vehicles from unexpected attacks. The system, developed from Rheinmetall's naval Multi-Ammunition Softkill System (MASS) (see separate record), is capable of producing dynamic smoke screens, as well as spontaneous, large-area and multispectral interruption of an enemy's line of sight. It can also defend against stream and wave attacks.
