The British Porpoise electronic support measures (ESM) is a version of the Cutlass ESM developed for use in submarines. The pressure-resistant antenna is made of titanium and has six "ports," or windows, each covering approximately 60 degrees in azimuth.

The mast also houses the pre-amplifier, which boosts intercepted signals for the processor.
