The French Janet is a shipboard bimodal jammer capable of noise and deception jamming of up to three emitters or frequency bands simultaneously.

Each module consists of a transmitter, processor, receiver and antenna/emitters under a weatherproof cover and mounted on a platform rigged out from the mast. The antennas are steered mechanically to give full azimuth coverage; the antenna's field of view is approximately 10 degrees.
